  welcome to
SvCH Tjotte's To Be Or Not To Be

  TOOTSIE

Rainstorm and totally wet during a training pass out on a really wet swamp. Tracking animal is not always done in good weather, so training in really bad weather is a good experience for the dogs. Hard work just moving around but Toots carried on along the track.

Tootsie has a way of working with the nose down in the vegetation, exactly how you like to se the dog working. And this day  the weather was so much nicer when working.

Toots grew older and got more gay areas under her chin. Still incredible companion and excellent at work.

Toots was a good retriever  and was often carrying different things. She carried most things she could find, but preferred different sizes of branches and this is just a tooth pick compared to what she cold bring from the woods. Most times it was unbelievable how she could get along and steer really long branches passing through dense areas in wooden terrain.

She grew older and older and finally got pensioned  as a tracking dog, but was still a fantastic companion that wanted to hang along everywhere. During her last years she was completely deaf but that did not stop her to come along also on full day walks out in the nature.
Unfortunately she suffered from a severe bowel infection that her old body could not cope with and she was gracefully put to sleep for to release her from the pain.
She left us with so many happy and fantastic memories and is still missed and lives along in our thoughts.
