ASSA |
||
Assa 4 weeks old, mostly sleeping but it did not take a long time before she was at full speed playing with the other puppies from the litter.
First steps at the home lawn, 8 weeks old and a lot of energy in the legs. She was already from the beginning very attentive and interested of new things she found and what was moving around her. And there were no problems with the first contacts with the older dogs at home.
First meetings with the older dogs went rather easy for s a short while, but soon the curiosity took over. Puzzel was a bit pensive at the beginning but opened up and started to play with Assa. Toots started with the role of a mother and took on to Assa with a bit slower tempo. At least from the start as all three begun terrorizing all and everything after just a few hours.
Full speed in the wood, running after everything that moves and terrorizing her mates. Never a slow moment when she flies around in the terrain. Tracking everything that smells of an animal, it does not matter if it's a huge moose or a small mouse.
Training for tracking started late summer -
beginning of fall, and she responded really well. The image is from a
session in darkness. As many accidents happens in total darkness it's
important to incorporate this type of work when training a youngster get
them used to all kind of working conditions. This time she worked really good and solved the mission she had been given. |
||
Assa is doing a not really demanding search for a deer, where the animal was dead not far from the road. It's very important to let the dogs get used to meeting real animals and not only parts of an animal in the training track. A deer is not a really large animal so she was not really that surprised when she came found the body.
